For
one magical Sunday afternoon I recreated one of my favorite roles,
Gertrude Garnet in The Lady In Question for my Matinees Classiques
Reading Series. Behind me, my long-time stage buddy, Julie Halston.

Trusted
colleague and friend Carl Andress (center) directed The Lady In
Question for Matinees Classiques and played my leading man Erik
Maxwell. Julie Halston (l) and Andy Halliday (r) recreated their
original roles as well. |

In
June 2001 I participated in the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS
Benefit Broadway Bares. In this futuristic fantasy, I
played the formidable Captain Bush of the Starship Vulva. With me
is my friend, Peter Borzotta, who has performed in many of my Matinee
Classiques.

Backstage
at the wonderful cabaret benefit at the Bottom Line held for the
families of the police and firefighters who died on September 11th.
It was a fantastic night. It was lovely spending some time with
fellow funny ladies; Julie Halston, Beatrice Arthur and Joyce Randolph
("Trixie" from The Honeymooners). Pity the shutterbug
caught me mid-blink. Ah well ... photo:
